Special Hobby 100-SH48241 CAC CA-19 Boomerang Jungle Scouts 1:48 |
|||
|
The Boomerang was the only domestically produced Australian fighter to see action in World War II. Boomerangs defended Australia
and were deployed in New Guinea and other islands. The last, fighter-reconnaissance version of the CA-19 got a camera behind the cabin.
No longer used for pursuit, it was used for reconnaissance and target marking for fighter-bombers.
The instructions and decals offer three all-green machines, two of which had tail surfaces painted white. All three machines have nose arts.
The kit itself consists of four frames made of gray plastic, a frame of clear parts, a set of PUR parts and a plate of etchings.
