Rye Field Model RM-5013 1:35 T-34/122 EGYPTIAN |
|||
The T-34/122 (another designation: T-122) is an Egyptian self-propelled gun from the Cold War period. The length of the vehicle was 6.3 meters with a width of 3 meters. The vehicle was powered by a single 493hp V-2 12-cylinder engine and was armed with a single 122mm D-30 howitzer. The maximum speed did not exceed 55 km / h, and the operating range was up to 350-360 kilometers. The T-34/122 was created as a very far-reaching modernization of the Soviet T-34/85 medium tank from the Second World War. The key change was the use of a de facto brand new turret with new main armament, which in turn resulted in a change in the use of the vehicle - from a tank to an SPG. On the other hand, the suspension of the car or the fuselage remained almost unchanged compared to the standard T-34/85. These cars were used in combat, inter alia, during the Yom-Kippur war in 1973. | |||
