Serial production of the first 12 units was initiated as early as the end of summer 1936. The first prototype had its test flight in February 1937. Following testing, the PZL.43 was given a second oil radiator on the right side of the fuselage, and had extended carburettor intakes and exhaust collector. In April and May 1937, the first aircraft were delivered to Bulgaria. In the service of the Bulgarian aviation, PZL.43 planes remained until the beginning of 1945. The last exemplars were scrapped in the summer of 1946. | |||
