The Mirage 2000D is a fighter-bomber type that removes the nuclear attack capability from the strategic bomber Mirage 2000N and strengthens the ground attack capability with conventional weapons. Originally called the Mirage 2000N`, it was renamed the Mirage 2000D to avoid confusion with the Mirage 2000N. Since 1993, the French Air and Space Force has been deploying troops in parallel with operational tests using the mirage 2000D.
