Modelcollect UA72344 Austratt fort coastal artillery site triple 28cm turret Caesar 1:72

Unassembled plastic model in 1/72 scale of a German WW2 defensive coastal artillery near Trondheim, Norway, using of the turrets from Gneisenau capital ship. The ship, damaged during an air raid in 1942 was not repaired and turrets were dismantled and used as coastal defences.

The turret saw no action during the war, other than test firing.

Sadly seems ModelCollect has not corrected the mistakes done on previous releases of this turret, looks like this kit is no more than a re-box of ModelCollect – UA72148 – Austratt Fort Coastal Artillery Site (Triple 28cm Turret Caesar). The rear of the turret is specially disappointing. This kit can’t be recommended for any one looking for historical accuracy. Kit also includes 2 x flak 40 zwilling which also has nothing to do in the historical emplacement of the turret.
